Paper Heart Airplane Craft For Valentine's Day

We are kicking off our own count down to Valentine's Day with some fun ideas and easy projects. Today we are sharing a super easy heart shaped paper airplanes that were inspired by the short film, Paperman. Check out our little Cupid Squatles, he is now available in our shop for a limited time. A great little gift for anyone on your Valentine's Day shopping list.

For our airplanes we chose some fun 6" x 6" pattern paper, grabbed a pair of sharp scissors and created a template out of kraft paper.

You can either create a heart template, like we did or feel free to dive in and cut out a heart free hand. Now fold your heart in half so that the pattern side touches itself.

Now flip your heart over so the white side is facing you, then fold each side of the heart into the center crease line. This will create your "wings". Flip the heart back over and crease along the center crease line and start flying your homemade paper heart airplanes.

Take a look at the Oscar winning short film, Paperman. It is so sweet and perfect for getting you in the mood for Valentine's Day.
